Online Sport Management Master's Program Details

During your studies in the online master's in sport management* program at the University of Kansas, you will have the opportunity to practice your knowledge in each class, collaborate with your classmates, network with higher-ups in the industry, and apply your skills in a variety of sport settings, including professional, intercollegiate, high school and non-profit sectors.

  • 12 courses, 36 credits, 8 weeks per course
  • Graduate in as few as 2 years
  • Online courses designed for working professionals
  • Join an interdisciplinary program designed to help students pursue or advance in careers across the sport sector, including sport management, player and team management, sport marketing and event management
  • Produce a portfolio that reflects learned skills that correspond to the competencies outlined by the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM)
  • Utilize what you study in the field during your customizable career internship
  • Successfully complete a comprehensive exam*

  • No GRE requirement for admission

*During the last eight-week course in your final semester, you will be contacted by the program coordinator about completing a required comprehensive exam (approx. 15-20 pages in length). You must pass the exam to successfully complete this program.
